marketing strategy

alin and i went to mekdi near to iskl this evening. before we reached the order counter, i saw this pokcik with plastic full of keropok keping (sila refer gambarajah di bawah untuk imej yg lebih lanjut). me, being me; i felt the urge to buy for the sake of "kesian kat pokcik tu". so when was i near him, i wind down the window. beginilah conversationnya:

pokcik: pokcik musafir ni nak. pokcik mari dari patani ni. ramai kawan pakcik mati sano. kena bunuh
i am: er....
pokcik: beli ja satu deh?! ike tenggiri ni. sedap ni.
i am: baper ringgit satu ni?
pokcik: kawe pokcik jua tigablas ringgit. pokcik jua limablas ringgit sajolah
i am: er....
pokcik: beli deh.. amik satu ja.. banyok isi nih. satu kelo. amik deh (seraya meletakkan keropok itu di peha gebu ku)
i am: bulih la...

so i gave him rm50. all he has was rm1 & rm5. so he counted 10, 20, 30. then he stopped

pokcik: baper wi tadi? pokcik dok reti kiro. tok skoloh tinggi
i am: tiga puluh lima
pokcik: ho lah.. timo kasih dehh...

then we got our icecream. and i couldn't stop thinking these things:

1) apa kaitan kawan dia terbunuh kat patani dengan keropok keping ikan tenggiri dia?
2) camne nak meniaga tapi tak reti kira? tapi pandai amik untung rm2 dari kawan dia..

macam2 sungguh marketing strategy nih..
